Our church is currently in a growing mobilization towards reaching outside these walls. The director of Outreach, Pastor Laurie Gustafson, has been laying the foundation for a world encompassing vision of showing God's love to a lost and dying world. Plans are being made and carried out to be more informative as to what we have to offer our immediate neighborhood, Faith Promise now includes supporting Northern Churches Care and a new church plant just south of Denver as well as six missionaries and we now host an educational event called F.L.A.M.E. (Fellowship of Leaders Acquiring Ministerial Education). Differing ministries within the church also extend a helping hand to the community as God lays it on their hearts. Mission trips are being planned for the future to assist needy churches with projects they might not be able to complete on their own. Regular monthly acts of service are being looked at as well. So you can see there is much to do and needs to be met. Come check us out and be a part of something world-changing!
Reaching
Everyone in Our Community
We have different Outreach ministries such as our Prayer Ministry and our
C.A.R.E. Ministry. Our other various ways of reaching, equipping, and
sending others for Christ is by our Missions, Outreach events, Social
Activities, and our Visitation & Follow-up of visitors to the church.
C.A.R.E. Ministry
The New Testament indicates we should minister to the physical, emotional
and spiritual needs of our community. It’s our goal that no one goes without
having their physical and emotional needs met. Through Congregational
Assistance & Response to Emergencies (C.A.R.E.), we are committed to
developing an intentional process of meeting these physical and emotional
needs.
Outreach Events
Mountain View offers a variety of events for our community ▪ Live Nativity ▪
Vacation Bible School ▪ Super Bowl party ▪ Easter ▪ Mother’s Day flowers ▪
Memorial weekend yard sale
Social Activities
Throughout the year, we hold events for the congregation to develop
relationships with each other. Some of these activities are: ▪ Sky Sox game
▪ picnics ▪ breakfast in the canyon (Labor Day weekend) ▪ harvest festival
Visitation & Follow-Up
This is an opportunity to communicate information about our church to our
recent guests. In addition, you can choose to visit shut-ins, the sick or
those who’ve been absent for a while. Whether in person or through
phone/email, here’s your chance to build bridges of relationship with
others.
Missions
Mountain View Wesleyan supports missions on local, national and
international levels. We also participate in mission trips.
